Continuum mechanics of solids and condensed matter
We seek to understand the underlying physical and mathematical principles of large deformation and flow in hard and soft condensed matter - polymeric solids and liquids, and crystalline materials in extreme and/or coupled settings. To this end, we employ key notions of continuum Mechanics, a central theme of our research, with a suite of theoretical Modeling, Experimentation and Computation (MMEC).
From soft to hard
Our interest spans from extremely soft materials to very hard metallic crystals (e.g. groups V/VI refractory metals). Check out our recent publications.
